Description

Detect, categorize, and score buying intent signals from multiple data sources. Transform raw company activity into actionable outreach triggers with a structured monitoring architecture.

What this skill does

  1. 1Categorizes signals into four types by reliability: first-party (website visits, content downloads, positive replies), third-party intent (G2 buyer intent, Bombora), public signals (hiring, funding, tech stack changes), and social signals (LinkedIn posts about pain, vendor recommendation requests).
  2. 2Scores each signal on 5 factors (recency, directness, frequency, specificity, source reliability) using a weighted formula, then assigns a priority tier from 'contact within 24 hours' to 'monitor or discard'.
  3. 3Stacks multiple signals to increase confidence, with specific high-confidence combinations (funding + hiring, competitor churn + website visit) and rules for avoiding noise stacking.
  4. 4Maps each signal type to an outreach angle and opening line template for direct use in campaign copy.
  5. 5Designs a signal monitoring architecture from manual daily checks (LinkedIn, Crunchbase alerts) to a full automated pipeline with detection, scoring, prioritization, and outreach triggering.

When to use

  • Shifting from list-based batch outreach to signal-based campaigns and need to define which signals to monitor and how to score them.
  • Setting up monitoring workflows for a set of target accounts to know the right moment to reach out.
  • Training SDRs on which signals justify immediate outreach vs. which are noise not worth acting on.
  • Building the scoring logic for a Clay or n8n workflow that needs to rank inbound signals by urgency before routing to campaigns.
